Butch Harmon interview on Rickie Fowler after Players Championship Win
It was fun to get a glimpse of what Butch Harmon brings to his students. Check out this interview he gave on the Golf Channel after Rickie Fowler's epic win:
"I have to say this "overrated" thing that came out in Sports Illustrated or whatever it was, it motivated him. I mean it irritated him that someone would say that, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't use it as a little bit of motivation... But he's worked so hard. At the start of the year, he hadn't worked as hard as he needed to. We had a little talk at Doral and he has sucked it up and he's worked his tail off. He's struggled with his putting, he figured that out in San Francisco. He went back to using his Putting Mirror and he putted beautifully. You've got to hand it to him, because yesterday he didn't play very well and he ground it out and got it to one under. Even the front nine today wasn't good, but you just keep fighting... That's what I love about this kid, he's got No Quit in him."
